Welcome to Cafe 63 Ellendale, a charming café nestled at shop 6/141 Canvey Rd, Upper Kedron QLD 4055, Australia. This delightful spot offers a welcoming atmosphere that caters to families and individual diners alike. The café is born from the renowned Cafe 63 brand, known for its commitment to quality and affordability.

Stepping inside, you'll be greeted by a fresh, spacious layout adorned with numerous indoor and outdoor seating options, ideal for enjoying a leisurely meal or a quick coffee break. The atmosphere hums with a friendly vibrancy, amplified by the attentive and kind staff who are eager to ensure every visit is enjoyable.

For families, Cafe 63 Ellendale shines as a perfect post-swim treat destination, where little ones can indulge in delightful toasty offerings for just a buck fifty each, as noted by satisfied customer Stu Tyson. The café strikes an excellent balance between creating a friendly, fun café experience and providing straightforward, budget-friendly meals without compromising on quality.

Although the menu primarily emphasizes simple yet hearty meals, the star offerings include the beloved scrambled eggs "Elle McPherson," as well as kid-friendly options like fish and chips that are sure to please even the pickiest eaters. With an emphasis on high value for money, diners can expect their plates to be filled with generous portions alongside flavorful accompaniments.

However, some reviews point to an area for improvement: the coffee. Frequent visitor Daniela Jaramillo highlights that while the food shines, the coffee experience has not quite met her expectations. Perhaps a drive to Ferny for a more crafted cup is in order, but rest assured that the warm service and family-friendly environment make each visit special.

Despite a few challenges with the ordering area being a bit chaotic, as noted by Martin Witchard, the camaraderie among the staff enhances the experience, making it easier to overlook any minor inconveniences.

If you’re looking for an inviting café experience that blends quality with affordability, Cafe 63 Ellendale is a must-visit. It’s a delightful spot to gather with loved ones, enjoy wholesome meals, and create memories that linger long after you leave. So don’t miss out on this hidden gem in Upper Kedron—a family-friendly café that serves up fun with every plate.

Cheap and friendly and fun! I have two little boys who love a toasty treat after their swim class. We love having a “cafe experience” for only a buck fifty for each kid! The staff and VERY friendly, professional and helpful. Great for families and takeaway.

I like the food and the service, the only thing that needs improvement is the coffee… it’s a pity… I’ve tried it five times and it always tastes bad: either over-extracted or under-extracted, so I prefer to drive to Ferny to get a proper barista coffee…

Not rated for food as we only had coffee. Fresh and spacious cafe with a twin at the Enoggera Bowls Club. Lots of indoor seating and a fair number of outdoor tables too. The ordering is a bit chaotic, having to queue to one side of an awkwardly placed register area but, otherwise, service seemed brisk despite a moderate size crowd.

Updated my review, to add new photo. Not what I call bubble and squeak. Burnt lambs fry, only good part was the bacon and fried onion.

This Cafe 63 is relatively new and, therefore, relatively quiet as not many people know about it yet. Cafe 63 serves simple but quality meals at a high value for money price. Food was served in a timely manner with very friendly, efficient staff. I've pictured the scrambled eggs "Elle McPherson" if I remember correctly, there is also a kids' fish and chips, and a salmon salad. All meals very much enjoyed and it was a nice relaxing atmosphere to sit back and catch up with family.

This place is huge, open and bright. The staff were super friendly and professional. I only stopped in for a quick sneaky bite while the wife was shopping. The shoestring fries were incredibly tasty and crispy.
